Senior or Specialist Worker Visa eligibility requirements

The Intra Company Visa has two distinct sub-categories that applicants can decide to apply under. Those two sub-categories each have separate eligibility requirements.

Long-Term Staff:

In order to be eligible for the Long-Term Staff option, you must have worked for your overseas employer for a minimum of 12 months. This minimum period of employment is not necessary if you will earn more than £73,900 or more in the UK. In order to apply for this sub-category, your company must pay a minimum of £52,500 per year.

Graduate Trainee:

This subcategory of the Intra Company Transfer Visa is for applicants that can prove they are transferring into a position that is part of a graduate program. The graduate training program your company has organized must have a specific role that is designated for members culminating the training program. UK Visas and Immigration has allotted 20 graduate trainee visas for each company that maintains a Sponsor License. The minimum income to take advantage of this visa sub-category is £27,300 per year.

How long can I stay in the UK with the Senior or Specialist Worker Visa?

Long-Term Staff:

After you have received a Long-Term Staff sub-category of visa, you will have access to the UK as a legal resident for 9 years. If you happen to earn less than £120,000 per year, your visa will be valid for 5 years.

Graduate Trainee Visa:

This sub-category of visa is valid for 12 months. This means you can stay as a legal employee for your company in the UK for only 12 months, and 20 hours per week.

You can bring your children and dependents under the age of 18. In order to apply for your family to join you in the UK under this type of visa, you should work with specialist UK immigration lawyers to make sure everything is processed in an organised, and accurate fashion.
