Joanna has had a varied career having previously worked as a Senior Registered Sick Children’s Nurse at Great Ormond Street Hospital and a qualified Adult Education Tutor.
Joanna has been with the company for over twenty years. She is a Legal Aid specialist and predominantly deals with the preparation of Bills of Costs and Very High Cost Case Plans in complex publicly funded matters. She has a particular interest in clinical negligence and her medical background provides a unique insight into the issues of causation and negligence in such matters. As a result of Joanna’s attention to detail, excellent drafting skills and copious experience she was appointed as the Head of Legal Costs Services in 2013.
Given her educational background, Joanna is responsible for the training and development of junior fee earners at the firm. She has been widely credited for the progression of many of the firm’s current staff from junior costs draftsmen to highly skilled Costs Lawyers.
Outside of work, Joanna is an all sports spectator and enjoys spending time with her grandchildren. She also makes an annual trip to Malaysia to spend time with her son and brother.
