Kirsty Bowers is an experienced Family Lawyer based in Elite Law’s Leighton Buzzard office. She has specialised in Family Law since qualifying in 2002, bringing over two decades of expertise to her practice. Kirsty has worked across various regions, including Manchester, Cheshire, Hertfordshire, and Bedfordshire, gaining experience in both multi-disciplinary legal firms and boutique family law practices. Throughout her career, Kirsty has been involved in highly complex cases, including a multi-million-pound financial remedy application arising from a wrongful birth claim involving a severely disabled child and a faulty disabled person’s trust. This case led to satellite litigation, including professional negligence claims and the involvement of multiple expert witnesses.
Kirsty deals with all levels of financial cases but has worked on a number of high-net-worth financial matters to include cases in the Central Family Court.
Kirsty also handles intricate children’s matters, often involving parental alienation allegations, international disputes, and child abduction cases. Her expertise extends to emergency applications, including those brought before the Royal Courts of Justice, where she has worked alongside Tipstaff to ensure urgent child protection measures are implemented effectively.
A strong advocate for alternative dispute resolution, Kirsty is regularly instructed in Private Financial Dispute Resolution (FDR) hearings and Arbitration, demonstrating her commitment to achieving amicable and efficient resolutions for clients.
Kirsty’s early career in legal aid continues to inform her dedication to corporate social responsibility. She has collaborated with Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) to provide pro bono legal advice and offers initial consultations free of charge to remove barriers to early legal intervention. She has also co-hosted complimentary divorce and separation seminars alongside other community professionals, ensuring individuals have access to valuable legal guidance.
Actively engaged in her local community, Kirsty has worked alongside the local mayor on several initiatives, reinforcing her commitment to supporting individuals both inside and outside the legal sphere.
